I guess this mare finally got tired of my nagging at her for the last week to have her baby already, because she gave birth to this little beauty a little after 1:00 this morning.
We are so proud to add this little Metallic Cat x Tornados Rey of Hope red roan filly to our herd!
Tornados Rey of Hope, one of the Circle C's broodmares and this filly's dam, is by Dual Rey and out of Hickorys Tornado Rio. She is a former Kansas Non-Pro Derby Co-Champion, a former Oklahoma Early bird Open Derby Reserve Champion, and has earned more than $25,000. Tornados Rey of Hope had one of her embryos transferred to a recipient mare to produce this filly. Royal Vista Southwest, in Purcell, Oklahoma, handles much of our embryo transfer work. She is too cute! Her hoofs look so tiny, and I think her red mane looks cool.
